STORM (Dineo) WARNING!!! #CityAlertPlus


Be advised that the department of meteorology in South Africa has issued a statement confirming the storm (Dineo) will be hitting South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique as of tonight. The estimated speed is between 30 -90km/h. This wind can damages house, cars and any other property including nature.  This storm also comes with heavy rains that may cause heavy flooding. They have since recommended suspension of classes, less movement, close windows and doors make sure your structure is stable, or solicit shelter from neighbours, no crossing of over flooded rivers and also avoid being close to power lines.


The following steps are to be followed (Office)


1                     make sure all equipment is switched off and unplugged
2                     Make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked
3                     For today do not be found to be working after hours (due to challenges you may face when storm hits and you end up not getting home).
4                     For any challenge one may face kindly do let any of your colleagues know of that or your whereabouts, so to send SOS.

The following steps are to be followed (Home)

1                     make sure all equipment is switched off and unplugged when storm starts
2                     Make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked
3                     Do suspend all planned trips or drive or outings and be with your loved ones.
4                     Do make sure you do not have open fires, handigas or candles on (keep torches handy and warm clothing)
5                     For any challenge one may face kindly do let any of your colleagues know of that or your whereabouts, so to send SOS.
6                     Emergency numbers to call, Police 999 (hope they can respond), fire and emergency 933, Paramedics 977, SEC 800 9000
