80 year old man with 15 wives and 100 children says he wants more kids #CAPontheRUN

Togbe Kofi Asilenu, an 80-year-old man, who is currently gaining popularity for having 12 wives and 100 children, has declared that he wants more.

Togbe Kofi Asilenu said he has remained strong because of his constant intake of herbs  Asilenu also said apart from the about 15 wives, he also has concubines.


According to report by Daily Trust whose reporter paid him a visit recently. The report said while he spoke in his mother tongue, Ewe, at his residence, he confirmed he was strong and had vigour to continue to procreate because he regularly takes herbs. 

According to him, he has between 12 and 15 wives and these women all have children for him. He also confirmed he has many concubines who also have children for him. However, about four of his wives are now deceased. Asilenu, a farmer, said that he never had any formal education and uses what he makes from the sale of crops to provide for his family. 


The report quoted him as saying: “Now things are difficult. Our money cannot buy anything. It was easier to feed so many children then. “I am virile and can still father more children." One of his sons, Obed, a police officer, reportedly said: “Most of his age mates are dead, but he is still living. “People say it is because he is pure in heart. He does not bear grudges, he is very peaceful.” Obed further said he contributes over GHc 1,000 to take care of the family anytime he comes visiting. 

He pleaded with the government to assist the family with gainful employment. The family does not also mind cash donations and gifts.
