- Reality show superstar reveals intimate secrets to polygamy - The TV personality is legally and traditionally married to four wives - His aim, he claims, is to demonstrate to other men how to be polygamous - He also seeks to make an impact in war against women and child abuses A proud polygamy man whose explosive reality TV programme recently sent the internet into complete meltdown now reveals the top secret to polygamy. The 43-year-old Mr Musa Mseleku from Umzumbe, a small town in South Coast, is married to Thobile, 28, Mbali, 34, Nokukhanya, 35, and Busiswe, 40. These four, he claims, are more of team mates than rivals. “I am a strong defender of traditions and all my marriages have received approval from the ancestors. However, my marriages are also protected by the laws of the land,” says Mr Mseleku.

He reportedly married all his four wives between year 2002 and 2009 and has had total of 10 children, out of whom seven are girls. Mr Mseleku admits that making his polygamy life public was a huge sacrifice on the part of his family, as most people in the modern time do not view polygamy in a positive way.

He has a completely different view of polygamy. “I define it as one big and happy family. It’s that simple. What everyone else out of the family thinks or says doesn’t really bother me,” says Mr Mseleku.

His polygamous views appears to have a backing from experts like Khenani Makhoba, who argues that most people seem to look at polygamy from a western perspective, and that has somehow contributed to the increasing negative reactions towards polygamous marriages. “The truth is that those who are in polygamous marriages are not interested in what everyone else thinks.

This is because they appreciate its benefits, which include extra helping hands in the family,” says Mr Makhoba, adding that in some case, it is the woman and not the man who asks for more wives. According to Mr Mseleku, most successful 'polygamies' are built on honesty. Honesty, he insists, is the secret to polygamy. He says part of the reason why he made his family life more public is because he seeks to make an impact in the fight against women and children abuses in the society.
