Wizkid nominated in 7 categories at the Billboard awards
After Grammy Disappointment
Wizkid cannot stop winning! Just days after the popular musician was nominated in the best African act category at the BET awards, he received another set of nominations from Billboard music awards.
Wizkid may have missed out on a Grammy earlier this year, but his rise on the global music scene has continued with the Nigerian star bagging seven nominations at the Billboard Music Awards. And Billboard took to Twitter to congratulate him.
After “One Dance”, Drake’s hit collaboration with him and Kyla, was shockingly ignored at the Grammys, it has gone on to score him seven nominations and a better chance of winning.
The popstar was nominated for Top Hot 100 Song, Top Selling Song, Top Radio Song, Top Streaming Song, Top Collaboration, Top R&B Song and Top R&B Collaboration, just one nod short of Beyonce’s eight nominations.
Drake and The Chainsmokers lead the Billboard Music Awards nominations list with 22 nods; followed by Twenty One Pilots (17) and Rihana (14).
The awards, which will be hosted by Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens, will take place on Sunday night.
Lets support wizkid and make the global recognition keep growing, we are very sure that "Daddy Yo" will not let his fans down.
