Another suspected member of the dreaded Badoo cult gang terrorizing Ikorodu community has been set ablaze by angry residents.
It was the end of the road for a
suspected member of the dreaded Badoo Cult gang after he was caught by
residents of Igbo-Oluwo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, in the early hours of
Friday, June 30, 2017.
According to a resident of
the area who posted the gory story on the Ikorodu Ambassadors Facebook
group, the suspect was stripped naked, given the beating of his life before he was set ablaze, despite pleas by elders to hand him over to the police for proper investigations.
It
was gathered that the suspect was apprehended around 1 am in the area
by a group of local vigilante who questioned him on what he was doing in
the area at that ungodly hour.
He was said to be
incoherent in his response and could not give any reasonable answer.
When it was daylight, the vigilantes were said to have handed the
suspect over to angry residents at about 6.45 am and after beating him
to a pulp, he was set ablaze at Jumofak junction in the area.
It was learned that the dead suspect was in the company of another man who managed to escape while his colleague was caught.
This
is not the first suspected members of the cult gang have been lynched
by residents of Ikorodu especially immediately after one of their
heinous murder spree like it was witnessed on Tuesday, June 27, 2017,
when the gang members allegedly murdered a couple and their three children in their house in their usual manner.
