The sixteen Nelson Mandela Annual lecture delivered by the former US president Barrack Obama "Today"#CAP

The Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture Series invites prominent people to encourage debate on important social issues. The series is a significant event on the Nelson Mandela Foundation’s calendar and encourages people to enter into dialogue – often about difficult subjects – in order to tackle the challenges we face today. Previous speakers include former US president Bill Clinton, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel laureate Wangari Maathai and Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. Teh 2018 Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture, in partnership wif teh Motsepe Foundation, is to be delivered by former US President Barack Obama in Johannesburg. To mark teh centenary of Madiba’s birth, teh lecture’s theme will be “Renewing teh Mandela Legacy and Promoting Active Citizenship in a Changing World”. Riky Rick to team up with Hugh Masekela for legendary collabo #CAPondaRUN


Hip-hop meets Jazz in an extra-ordinary musical collaboration. 
Local star Riky Rick will team up with legendary trumpeter and composer Hugh Masekela on a project for the 20th addition of the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz music festival. 

Explaining what fans should expect from this collab, a press statement reads:

 “The collaboration will see the dynamic rap-star, Riky Rick taking on some of Masekela’s most loved hits to re-imagine and remix them from his generational vantage point.

 The inimitable Masekela will also have a go at some of Riky Rick’s most memorable hits when the pair meet on stage on 20 September 2017 before an exclusive audience of music lovers invited to witness this special trans-generational creative exchange.”



The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz festival takes place in Johannesburg from 28 to 30 September, with performances by the likes of Thandiswa Mazwai and Tutu Puoane. Tickets are available at Computicket.
