There
are some people that make it easy for us to be happy for them. They are
usually generally likeable people who, when they receive good news are
make positive achievements, the world smiles for them.
Lucas Radebe is
one such person and he reminded us why this week when he decided to take
on a project mentoring young soccer players on a Disney show.
The show is called "11" and Radebe will be mentoring youngsters of all backgrounds who want to try and make it in the game.
"This
campaign covers a number of issues that are close to my heart including
football development and working with kids," said Radebe.
"I'm
excited to be a mentor to show them that, like me, they can start from
the bottom and reach great heights through hard work, determination and
belief in themselves and their abilities."
Lucas Radebe
performed at the highest level of football when he was a professional.
He played in the English Premier League, the World Cup and the African
Cup of Nations, eventually retiring in 2005.
